Construction began this month on the expansion of our spinning floor. When complete in late summer 2026, it will add 4,200 sq ft of production space, three new Savio precision winders, and a dedicated yarn storage mezzanine.
The numbers
- Current spinning capacity: ~1,000 tonnes of yarn per year
- After expansion: projected ~1,400 tonnes per year
- New Savio machines: 3 units (bringing total to 9)
- Additional winding stations: 12
What it means for partners
More capacity means shorter lead times during peak season (May–September). Standard yarn orders that currently run 4–6 weeks will compress closer to 3–4 weeks by Q4 2026. Custom-colour dyeing volume will double — our Steppe Signature programme minimum stays at 100 kg per colour, but throughput improves.
What's unchanged
Every kilogram spun on the new floor goes through the same quality controls as the existing lines: fibre grading at intake, count and ply verification at every handoff, tensile-strength sampling per lot. The expansion is about capacity, not shortcuts.
We'll share photos of the new floor in our next update. If you're planning FW26-27 or SS27 production and want to reserve capacity ahead of the expansion, send us your volumes — we'll lock in current lead times for you now.
