Quality Philosophy

QC is not a final gate.

Quality is embedded at every stage of our production process — fibre intake through finishing. Each material and product is checked against defined parameters before it moves to the next stage. Failure at any gate halts the batch. Two of the finishing readings below are set by the finishing operations themselves: decatizing is what takes the residual shrinkage out of woven cloth, and shearing the pile to a level height is what leaves fewer loose fibre ends to pill.

Laboratory

Measured, not estimated.

Our three in-house laboratories run on Mesdan Lab instrumentation — Italian textile testing equipment used at every stage of production and on every batch that passes through the factory. Fibre and yarn are put on the instruments rather than judged by hand, so a specification is either met or it is not.

Because the same instruments are used from fibre intake through finishing, the readings on the inspection record above are directly comparable across stages and between batches — which is what makes a specification reproducible on a repeat order.

Independent Verification

Nothing goes to the outside laboratory that we do not already measure here. Every test in the standard set runs on our own instruments first — the accredited laboratory confirms those readings rather than producing them. That is the point of the arrangement: an in-house reading is only worth as much as the instrument behind it, so the same laboratory that verifies our fibre, yarn and colour also helps us calibrate and cross-check our own equipment. The readings on the record above are set against an accredited reference, not against our own judgement.

Testing is carried out at an accredited laboratory at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology in Ulaanbaatar, whose scope covers fibre, yarn, fabric, dyeing and chemical analysis. The relationship runs both ways — they test our material, and they help keep our own instruments honest.

Run as standard

These run on our own production whether or not a customer asks for them. We do it to hold our own quality rather than to produce paperwork, which is why it happens on every programme — including the ones where nobody ever requests the data.

Reports on request

Test records are held per lot and per stage, and issued on request rather than automatically with every shipment. Ask during development, before shipment, or afterwards for your own audit file, and we will supply the reports for your lots.

National Standards

Product quality certified to MNS 6809:2019 & 5820:2007.

MNS 6926:2021 is Mongolia’s national standard for sustainable textile production — environmental and social performance across the whole facility. Product quality is certified separately: MNS 6809:2019 for knitted and woven finished goods and MNS 5820:2007 for cashmere yarn, both on accredited laboratory testing.

The checks listed alongside are ours — the intake grading that decides whether incoming material is accepted, downgraded, or rejected. Conformity of the yarn and the finished garment is certified separately under MNS 5820:2007 and MNS 6809:2019, on accredited laboratory testing.
