The story
SS27 draws from the most specific landscape we know — our own. The Mongolian steppe in late June: sun-bleached grass turning gold, warm stone under afternoon light, oxidised copper of weathered metal, brief flashes of the wildflowers that carpet the plains for a few weeks each year.
Desert Horizon is grounded rather than pastel, warm rather than saturated. Ten colours that hold together without competing — a base of organic neutrals, a middle layer of earthen golds and bronzes, two brights drawn from the sky at its warmest, and two deeps that close the palette in the evening.
The palette is built for fine-gauge cashmere and blended jerseys — surfaces that let subtle undertones breathe. Try the neutrals on heavier constructions if you want the palette to read as quieter; use the brights sparingly, as accents, the way a horizon actually sits.

BSC-100
The base. A soft, unbleached cream that warms where pure white would chill. Anchors every other colour in the palette.

BSC-2250
A quiet grey-blue that reads as sun-bleached stone under desert light. Pairs beautifully with the warmer tones to come.

BSC-200
Natural undyed cashmere in its lightest grade — taupe with faint warmth. The most authentic base colour in the range.

BSC-4800
Late-afternoon sun on ancient stone. The golden heart of SS27 — warm, earthen, never loud.

BSC-6800
Oxidised copper with depth. Sits between warm and cool, equally at home in tailoring and fine knits.

BSC-6100
A horizon orange — saturated but not neon. The palette's statement tone. Use sparingly for maximum impact.

BSC-5200
Softer sister to Jaffa. Coral grounds the brights and ties into the warmer neutrals. Strong standalone, subtle as an accent.

BSC-3700
Dusty olive — the green of steppe grasses in late summer. Adds botanical depth without competing with the earth tones.

BSC-2850
A near-black blue that anchors the brights. Use for trim, piping, or statement pieces that need weight.

BSC-6850
The deepest tone in the palette. A rich red-brown evening tone that closes the story.

Pairings

Yarn
The palette reads at its best on fine-gauge cashmere — the warm neutrals reveal subtle undertones, and Jaffa has the saturation to hold on a 12GG knit without flattening. Start here for ready-to-wear.

Fabric
The silk lustre lifts the warmer tones — Ochre and Coral in particular develop a gentle sheen. Ideal for slip dresses, lightweight camisoles, and layering pieces that need fluidity.

Silhouette
Two silhouettes we've modelled for SS27: the Bell-Sleeve reads beautifully in the neutrals + Autumn Brown, the Wrap Dress carries Coral and Jaffa well. Both in our Product Range.
