Our Mill

A vertically integrated cashmere manufacturing facility in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia — founded 2008, spanning 197,500 sq ft (18,350 m²).

One of Mongolia’s Most Complete Cashmere Facilities

Founded in 2008, our 197,500 sq ft (18,350 m²) vertically integrated facility in Ulaanbaatar brings every stage of cashmere production under one roof — dyeing, spinning, weaving, knitting, and finishing. From raw fibre intake through finishing, we maintain complete oversight of the production chain.

This integration allows us to guarantee consistency, reduce lead times, and maintain the quality standards that European, Asian, and international fashion houses require. Every garment, accessory, and textile we produce can be traced back to its source fibre. Our finished work is shown at our showroom at Central Tower in central Ulaanbaatar, a short drive from the mill.

Manufacturing Process

Four Factories Under One Roof

Our facility operates four integrated production lines, equipped with machinery from leading partners — Stoll (Germany), Shima Seiki (Japan), Savio and Bigagli (Italy) for knitting and spinning, and PDM dye vessels running German SETEX process control, with Italian STALAM and ALEA drying.

Technology

World-Class Equipment Partners

Precision machinery at the stages that set quality. Spinning, knitting and weaving come from Stoll in Germany, Shima Seiki in Japan, and Savio, Bigagli and Itema in Italy. Finishing runs on Italian wool-trade machinery — Zonco and Famit fulling and washing, Lafer raising, Mario Crosta shearing, Corino open-width handling and KD Biella decatizing. The dye house runs PDM vessels under German SETEX process control, with Italian STALAM radio-frequency and ALEA drying either side of it, supported by garment wash and drying equipment sourced regionally.

Every machine on the floor
Stoll

Germany

Stoll

Computerised flat knitting machines for fully-fashioned garments, complex cable patterns, and intarsia work. Industry-leading precision for shaped knitwear up to 16GG.

Shima Seiki

Japan

Shima Seiki

Whole-garment knitting technology producing seamless garments directly on the machine. Reduces waste, eliminates seams, and enables intricate three-dimensional knit structures.

Savio

Italy

Savio

High-precision winding and spinning equipment for yarn production. Controls ply structure, tension, and count consistency across every cone.

Bigagli

Italy

Bigagli

Specialist spinning frames for fine-fibre yarns. Produces even-twist, low-pilling yarns across cashmere and blended compositions.

PDM

Wuxi, China

PDM

Loose-stock and package yarn dyeing under German SETEX process control. Dyeing fibre before it is spun carries colour into the core of the staple; recipes are held per lot so a shade can be run again.

Italy

Itema

Rapier weaving machines, including the Somet Alpha PGA, feeding our woven factory. Itema unites Somet, Vamatex and Sulzer — the houses that shaped modern weft insertion.

Quality Control

Every stage, every batch.

Integration only means something if each stage is checked before the next one starts. Our in-house laboratory runs on Mesdan Lab instrumentation — fibre and yarn go on the instruments rather than being judged by hand, at every stage of production and on every batch we run. Results travel with the goods as a batch record, so a specification met once can be met again on a repeat order.

Strategic Location

At-Source Advantage

Based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, we operate at the source of the world’s finest cashmere. Direct access to herding cooperatives and raw fibre markets means we bypass intermediaries, ensuring authenticity, competitive pricing, and first-party traceability from fibre to finished garment — evidenced by per-lot and per-stage records issued on request.

Our at-source position shortens the supply chain, reduces cost, and gives our partners a direct connection to one of the planet’s most valued natural fibres. We work with herders who practice traditional combing methods, ensuring both animal welfare and fibre quality.
