Who we are
A vertically integrated cashmere mill.
Blue Sky Cashmere is a Mongolian cashmere mill operating since 2008. We comb, sort, spin, dye, knit, and finish under one roof in Ulaanbaatar — the same teams, the same standards, every season since.
Our work sits behind quiet luxury labels around the world; under our own name we sell direct to the curated boutiques and brand partners who care where their cashmere actually comes from.
Founding Artifact
The first piece, off the loom.
The first piece Blue Sky Cashmere ever made — a V-neck cashmere pullover, finished on our first production day in 2008. It is kept under glass at the Ulaanbaatar mill: the literal first garment off the floor, and the teams who made it still run it.

2008
Founding
First production day
Blue Sky Cashmere opens in Ulaanbaatar — equipped from the start with German Stoll flat-knitting and Japanese Shima Seiki whole-garment systems.
2013
Expansion
A larger mill
The company moves to a larger facility and invests in a new generation of European and Japanese machinery, widening capacity across spinning, knitting and finishing.
2023
Certification
Certified to MNS 6926:2021
Mongolia’s national standard for sustainable textile production, awarded after a full-floor audit.

Today the mill produces 390 SKUs across knitwear, accessories, home textiles, and unbranded yarn — shipped to partners on four continents. The teams who handed us our first piece in 2008 still run the floor, training the next generation to the same standard.
