The Stoll ADF 530 arrived at our facility this month — a long-planned addition that expands our flat-knitting capacity into the finest gauge we've ever offered.
What changes
The ADF 530 produces knitwear at 16GG — roughly double the stitch density of a 7GG cable sweater. For brand partners, this opens up programmes that previously required mills in Italy or Scotland: featherweight pullovers, lightweight layering pieces, and high-gauge details (fully-fashioned ribbed cuffs, micro-intarsia, fine-gauge jacquards) that need the precision only a 16GG machine can deliver.
What makes this machine different
ADF stands for Autarkic Direct Feed — the carriage feeds yarn directly from cones mounted on the machine itself, eliminating one of the main sources of tension variation in high-gauge production. Combined with Stoll's M1plus programming system, it produces consistently clean stitch structure even at 30-row-per-inch densities.
What's ready now
- Full ADF 530 production capacity (single shift) available for bookings from May 2026
- Sampling slots for 16GG pullovers, cardigans, and fine-gauge dresses open immediately
- Pricing available by quote; MOQ unchanged at 50 units per colour per size
What's next
We're commissioning two further ADF 530 machines in Q3 2026 as part of our capacity expansion. Partners running high-gauge programmes can reserve capacity blocks in advance through our Atelier Sampling programme.
If you're developing a fine-gauge collection for SS27 or FW27-28, this is your moment. Reach out to discuss.
